Pricing: it is free

Product · updated October 2026 · 2 min read

There is no paid plan, no trial, no "pro" badge and no feature held back for subscribers. Creating and reading pastes costs nothing, and there is no advertising to pay for it. What follows is the actual list of limits, because "free" is only useful if you know where the edges are.

How it stays free

The site runs on Netlify Functions, Turso for SQLite storage, and Supabase for authentication. Traffic is modest, the data is small text, and there is no media hosting — the only binary is a compressed screenshot attached to a paste. Keeping the feature set narrow is what keeps the bill near zero, and that is why there is no upsell.

If a paid tier ever appears, the promises on this page apply to what exists today: nothing currently free will move behind it.

What happens at a limit

Requests over a rate limit return 429 with a message saying how long to wait. Content over 100,000 characters is rejected with 400 before it is stored, rather than being silently truncated. The browser editor shows both errors inline. If you are hitting limits in normal use, that is a bug worth reporting through the contact page.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a paid plan?

No. Every feature on the site is free, and there is no advertising.

Do I need an account?

No. Accounts add a dashboard, folders, editing with revision history, a public profile and API keys — all free.

Why is the paste limit 100,000 characters?

It keeps page loads and the raw endpoint fast, and covers essentially every log excerpt or code snippet people actually share.

Do pastes expire automatically?

Only if you choose an expiry or burn-after-read. Pastes with neither stay until they are deleted by their owner or removed by the site.
