Alright guys with Aika Open Beta coming up I've gotten requests to write up something to help you pick the classes.
This was specifically made for XIII members that were not in CBT, if you’re not in it then back away slowly. ;)
This guide will have 3 parts.

I'll try to convey as much info as possible yet keeping it short. With that being said this probably won’t be short. There is a lot to talk about. I’ll throw general Q/A into my
writing because they may be FAQs.
My goal is to help you all decide what class to play based on how the game is played.

II. Class Discussion

There are 6 classes in Aika. Warrior, Paladin, Warlock, Cleric, Rifleman, and Dual Gunner. All classes are gender locked.
Q: Which is the best class?
A: All classes are balanced. They are all good for some situations they are all bad in other situations.
Warriors and Paladins are melee classes. Warlocks and Clerics are caster classes. Rifleman and Dual Gunner are classes.
Q: Is there sub classes?
A: Yes, there are 2 subclasses for each class, but the subclasses will not be in OBT. Probably in a future patch, no need to worry about that now.
Before we get into which class is right for you, I just to let you guys know. A player can reach max level 50 (the max in Korea is 70) within 4 weeks if you play 3-4hrs a day. 3
weeks if you play 4-6 hours a day. If you're hardcore eat sleep and game then it’s probably less than 2 weeks. If your Patz then you can reach cap in 4 days xD. I'm giving you
guys the worst case scenario in timings, generally we are looking for people to reach max within 2-3 weeks. Faster = Better.
This all means you can have multiple characters! We urge you not to play more than one character at once, this will just slow your leveling.
Do not worry too much about what you put skill points into. Aika allows you to reset all your skill points and buy your skills again at a reasonable price.
All the things regarding strong vs. or weak against is based on my experiences. Everyone experiences the game in a different way. Do not take that as fact. Almost everything
else here is fact.

Warrior (DPS)

PvP usefulness: Very Useful
Gender: Male
Pran Recommendation: Fire
Pros: Moderate Damage
Relies on AoE
Has Stun, Has knockback
High HP
Moderate Defense
Has distance closing stun
Has many self buffs including boost hp and attack
Has 2nd highest physical defense.
Has Parry to block physical attack.
Fast leveler
Strong vs. Rifleman, Dual Gunners, sometimes Clerics
Cons: Low Magic Defense
Less than half of a Paladin’s physical defense
Weak vs. Mages, difficult to kill paladins due to high defense
PvP Style: Chases target uses “Charge” to stun then pummels them with AoE attacks. Stun cannot be spammed as stun has 20 second recharge.

Level 40 Mount: Armored White Horse
PvP usefulness: Very Useful past level 40 (useless before that)
Pran Recommendation: Water (no really don’t pick fire)
Gender: Female
I played a Paladin in CBT so this information will be the most accurate out of all the other classes.
Pros: Highest Physical and Magic Defense
High HP and MP (warrior has more HP)
Has skill that ignores skills used on them
Has skill that reflects damage back to enemy.
Is the Tank class
2nd highest attack rate
Has self heals
Few attack skills
Stun skill with very fast recharge at level 1
AoE Silence skill with very fast recharge at level 32
Best 1v1 class endgame
Strong vs. Dual Gunners, Rifleman, Mages
Rarely uses pots
Recommended Class for Guild Leaders that will become Lord Marshal or an Archon.
Can go past guard to amarkard at lvl 28, can go to Tabzara desert at 43 (see Game Mechanics for info on guards)
Only class that can solo Dungeons end game
Cons: Spends the most money on equipment repairs.
Has very low damage
Costs the most money upgrading
Superior sword crafting is required to play this class effectively (see crafting under Game Mechanics to see what Superior equipments are)
Weak versus warriors
Difficult to kill clerics due to low damage
Late bloomer must wait till level 43 to shine in PvP.
Until level 40 it is slowest leveler
PvP Style: Once Paladin catches up to you they can stun and silence lock you with only 5 seconds of down time.

Level 40 Mount: Winged Dragon (cannot fly)
PvP usefulness: Moderately Useful (very useful in Castle Siege/Relic Raids)
Gender: Male
Pran Recommendation: Air
Pros: Highest Damage and AoE Damage
Level 40 Meteor skill is usually an instant kill if it lands
Can disable target for 20seconds, by turning them into a rabbit
Weapon repairs do not matter if weapon has no durability it will not affect spell damage
Fast leveler
Very important in Castle Sieges with 1 Meteor being able to take out hordes of people
Cons: Casting spells can be interrupted by monsters or players
Low defense
Low HP
Very Potion Dependant
At a distance strong vs. Warriors, Mages, Dual Gunner
PvP Style: Same as all mages in all games, distance attacks, hiding in the backline behind allies.

PvP Style: Never pvp alone, your lack of attacks means you will rely on others to kill for you. Not to worry honor is not split that means it is distributed to all. You can make
a speedy getaway if hunted or just run around and keep spamming Tempest.

i. Pran
--------------------------
Pran is your “pet.” It is an Elf that follows you around giving you passive and active buffs. Pran has its own MP for casting buffs on you. It also has its own HP, but we do not
yet know why. Prans cannot be attacked.
An account may have up to 2 Prans and you can switch it in between your characters by using the Pran Station (NPC). It is highly recommended you level only one Pran because the
higher the Pran level the more powerful its passive and active buffs on you become.
There are three types of Pran, Fire, Water, and Air.
Fire Pran: Increases Magic and Physical Attack for a short time (active). Increases Maximum HP (passive). Deals damage back when attacked (active). Increases Critical Rate
(passive).
Water Pran: Increase physical and magic defense for short time (active). Increase Maximum MP (passive). Creates a shield to absorb a set amount of damage (active). Increases
resistance to negative affects (passive).
Air Pran: Increases Evasion for a short time (active). Increases the amount of HP and HP (passive). Reduces mana cost of all skills for a set duration (active). Increases HP and
MP recovery rate (passive).
Your Pran talks to you and the way you respond affects the outcome of her personality. What you feed her also affects her personality.
A Pran levels from exp gained from killing monsters. Pran does not gain exp from quest rewards.
Prans have 4 stages where they change looks and even personality! Personality of a Pran is purely an aesthetic thing; it does not affect its stats.
Stages: Fairy level 1 – 5
Child level 5 – 20
Teen level 20 - ??
Adult level ?? - ??
Personalities: Pran will always refer to you as “Master.”
Cute

Tough
Some dumb Pran was running her mouth, so I socked it shut. I'm only sorry that she wasn't sent straight back to the Pran Station.
Smart
I'm slightly bemused, master. I'm getting insulted because of my ears. It's slightly gratuitous, isn't it?
Hyper
Yes, I really like being happy, too! Yay, this should be easy!
Mean
Hey, let's see if you're actually good for something. Hand over some cash. Um – please.
Sexy
It's usually cold in the mornings, so I warm myself up with a cup of tea, too! But sometimes I feel like I don't need it - baby, I'm already steamin' hot!
Note: Actual in game names for the stages may be synonymous to these personalities as this was from a translator. Pran’s voice acting also changes depending on each stage.
Once a Pran has reached child stage you can change it back to its fairy form. This is very important for Dual Gunners and Rifleman as MUST have Pran in fairy form otherwise
their pran is visible when they turn invisible.
It should also be noted that Pran have their own inventory.

ii. Nations
--------------------------
Once you complete your Nationality quest at level 10 you can join a Nation. Once you join Feonir nation, your account becomes LOCKED to that nation. You can no longer travel to
other nations via the login screen.
There are 5 nations in Aika they are all on the same server. All the nations are exactly the same other than the players that reside in them and the nation flag. As XIII we are
in the Feonir nation.
The 5 nations are Alethius, Lenaria, Feonir, Ostyrion, and Vanov.
Nations have a Lord Marshal who is the Alliance Leader of the alliance that won the Castle Siege. 3 other guilds in the alliance also have influence as the guild leaders of the
3 other guilds in the alliance have titles themselves. Other titles are Tactician, Judge, and Treasurer. These guild’s guild leaders have the title of Archon. The 3 archons and
the Lord Marshal can talk to entire nation across PvP and PvE servers at once as if they were GMs in RED colored text.
Lord Marshal and the 3 archons also receive major HP/MP and damage bonus and damage reduction versus other nations. Marshal’s buff is more powerful than the Archon buff. A maxed
out gear Paladin Lord Marshal was seen tanking some 30 players.
Guild Members of the Lord Marshal get a buff called Knights of the Marshal. That increases HP, MP and damage versus other nations. Guild Members of the Archons receive a buff
called Knights of the Archon which also increases HP, MP, and damage versus other nations. The Knights of the Marshal buff is more powerful than the Knights of the Archon buff.
Each nation has 4 temples and several caches of the nation’s wealth across several areas.

iii. Castle Sieges
--------------------------
Castle sieges are a weekly event that alliances pay to sign up for. Only 4 alliances can register to a Castle Siege. During a Castle Siege the Alliance that captures flag in the
center of the map and holds it for 60 seconds wins the Castle Siege.
During the first Castle Siege it will be 4 alliances against each other to capture the flag to be declared leaders of the nation. Every subsequent Castle Siege will have 4
Alliances trying to capture the flag against 1 defending alliance. If no one from the 4 Alliances captures the flag then the defending team wins.
Outcome of the Castle Siege determines the Lord Marshal and the 3 Archons who hold the nation’s leadership and tax rates for a week.
Lord Marshals decide tax rates, strengthen nation defenses, and decide on allied nation.

iv. Honor
--------------------------
Honor is reward points for kill players of enemy nations. Do not confuse Honor with the item “Medal of Honor.” Medal of Honor are used for quests. You can check your Honor in
your character stat screen.
Honor is accumulated then traded to the Honor Equipment NPCs for Armor, Weapons, Accessories, and Potions.
Rumor has it honor gear cannot be upgraded.
Q: Why get honor gear?
A: Asides from the increased damage or defense provided by them. Honor gear also has PvP only stats. For example Honor weapon has stat to do more damage versus other nations.
Honor Armor has stat to take less damage from other nations.
If you are in a party Honor distribution is not gimped. No matter what the level difference. If you kill a player alone that gives you 20 honor, killing him in a full party of 6
will also give you 20 honor.
Honor rates ARE reduced when in raid parties. You can generally gain more honor in PK Squads than other methods.

v. Guards
--------------------------
These are NPCs scattered across key locations in every nation. Guards of your own nation and your allied nations do not attack you. When in Enemy nation Guards will attack you.
Guards have a skill AoE that does A LOT of damage and slows you down for 20 seconds where you can barely move. Most players caught by a guard are dead. If alone only Rifleman
and Dual Gunners can escape from guards by going invisible. Paladins can also bypass guards by using Divine Ward to negate their AoE skill that slows you down.
Unconfirmed, but Guards at temples can be upgraded by the Lord Marshal from collected tax money.

vi. PvP/PK/PK Squads
--------------------------
PvP or Player versus Player is a great portion of Aika’s game mechanics. There are several forms of PvP. You can go to the Battlegrounds and fight there. You can join up a
forming Relic Raid. You can even just go to enemy nation and just kill random people.
Q: Why PvP?
A: You don’t lose EXP, Durability, you going Honor, and Medals of Honor!
PKing is Player Killing. You can do this once you completed the nationality quest at level 10. You press the PvP button locked near the bottom left of your screen. Once This is
on your name will glow blood red showing you and other that you are in PK mode. At this point you can kill your own nation’s players. By PKing your own nation you lose 200 honor
points and have 1 infamy. Infamy goes up to level 9. Infamy takes 30minutes to lose. While you have Infamy your EXP rate drop.
The Lord Marshal and his guildies (the Knights of the Marshals) are immune to losing Honor and gaining Infamy for PKing their own nation’s players.
PK Squad is different from PKing. In a PK squad you do not pk your own nation. You travel to the opposing nation’s territory in a group and kill unsuspecting players to gain
honor.
Q: How do I travel to another nation once I’m part of Feonir?
A: Go north out of Verband to Amarkand Desert. Take the Southwest exit out of Amarkand to go to Rhawan Crossroads. Travel to the glowing yellow circle in the center of the map.
Now Press ESC and switch to the PvP server if you aren’t already there. Click on the stone in the center of the glowing yellow circle. This will open up a menu to travel to the
other 4 nations. Remember once you are in other nations Guard NPCs become hostile and will attack you.

vii. Relic Raids
--------------------------
This is a major part of the game. Relics are actually the Nation Buffs your nation has accumulated. This is a symbol of power and envy as much as it is a utility. The nation
that holds the most relics are considered to be the most powerful.
As Feonir we were lucky enough to end CBT2 as holding the most relics for the longest duration of time.
Relics can be found in dungeons or stolen from other nations then added to a temple to enable its affects to the entire nation.
To capture a relic, we must travel to Rhawan Crossroads then travel to the nation we wish to attack. We must fight our way through guards and players to the opposing nation’s
temple. Once at the temple we have to eliminate the players and the temple guards. We can then start attacking the temple crystals. The temple crystals fire a painful lighting
AoE. Once the three temple crystals are down any player can click on the floating diamond in the center of the temple. Add the relic they wish to capture to their inventory.
Once in your inventory the relic will boost your HP. You will also have glowing aura around you to let your allies and enemies know that you have the relic. You have to safely
get the relic back to Rhowan Crossroads’ Rift and then place it in your own nation’s temple. Once placed the relic you just captured will be bound to the temple for 6 hours
before anyone else can counter capture it.
All of every nation can be checked at any time. By opening your nation map then choosing another nation from the drop down at the top right and clicking on the one of four
temples. This way you can also view the expiration times of opposing nation’s relics to find the best time to raid them. All relic expiration times are local time not PST time
(time of where the server is located).
It should be noted that temples in higher level areas have Higher Level Guards and defenses. These temples are much harder to capture. They are also located very far away from
the Crossroads.

viii. Crafting/Upgrading
--------------------------
Crafting is fairly simple. To craft just save up the mats that mobs drop in your inventory then go to the Anvil by the blacksmith in Regenshien to craft everything.
Crafting something gives you a good chance of crafting Superior equipment. Superior gear have names written in Purple (some say its blue, I dunno looks purple to me) letters.
These equipments have much higher attack/defense. Approximately 20% more. Also the refining of these equipments grow exponentially larger than a regular weapon, so a +10 regular
weapon will have significantly less damage than a +10 superior weapon.
Refining is simple. It is how you add a glow to your weapon and make your armor stronger. To refine your weapon you need Pellurite for refining armor you need Rubicine. These
can be bought from players, crafted, found as drops, or from quest rewards. To refine you must talk to the Alchemist npc next to the blacksmith. Your weapons are guaranteed not
to fail up to +3, for superior weapons it is guaranteed to +4. Weapons have a feint glow at +3 and it becomes stronger as you upgrade it further and eventually go to different
colors. If your weapon fails with the roulette wheel matching two icons then the weapon degrades. If there are no matching icons then your weapon breaks.
You can downgrade the level requirement for your gear as well. So let’s say you have level 48 armor you want to wear now at level 45 you can do that by going to the blacksmith
and choosing “level down.” Your equipment will not break while leveling down.

ix. Leveling Tips
--------------------------
Aika is a little different when it comes to leveling. In Aika to level in Aika you MUST quest. Grinding will not get you levels. This becomes more prominent the higher you
level. In addition mobs do not give you any gold. All your gold in Aika comes from questing.
Everyone in XIII must also play in the PvP server. PvP server mobs have less HP which means faster killing and faster questing.

Iv. XIII plans and CBT Politics/Drama
====================================================
Everyone in XIII should be reading this part ENTIRELY. This is about what happened in CBT.
--------------------------
i. The Rise of Feonir
--------------------------
In CBT1 every nation had a Lord Marshal, except for Feonir. Feonir was stuck with GM Lingo as our lord marshal. Lingo never gave us any commands and he barely played. We were
leaderless. We tried our best to defend what we could in CBT1, but we were broken and leaderless. Even then with the help of our allies Vanov we were able to keep one relic that
Alethius didn’t take from us.
Beginning of CBT2 we were left with pathetic 10% mp boost relic. One day into it Lenaria takes that relic too. We were left with nothing. In the bottom of the bucket; people
were sad, one even said “how do I change nations.” We had to do something.
The next day Feonir assembled a group lead by Mythics the leader of Crescendo guild. We went to Alethius Amarkand Temple. We beat them to a pulp and I took the relic safely
black to our nation.
Not even 5minutes later we assembled in Lenaria and I captured their 10% exp relic and lead it back to Feonir. In the next 6 hours Feonir one after another captured 7 relics. We
obliterated the competition and in one night became the number one nation. People underestimated our coordination and determination. We had 5 of the EXP relics giving our entire
nation a 50% exp boost. We become the number one nation. It stayed that way to the end of CBT2.

ii. Castle Siege
--------------------------
In the first Castle Siege in CBT2 there were only a few guilds. There was Vanguard, XIII, Aura, Resonance, and HotGlue.
HotGlue, Aura, Vanguard, and XIII agreed ahead of time to let HotGlue win; HotGlue would then alliance invite Aura, Vanguard, and XIII. This is exactly what happened. Instead of
a battle royal it was a 4v1 Castle Siege. In doing so we prevented a massive Alethius attack that would have literally succeeded and ran away with our relic if we stayed in
Siege for a few more seconds. This also prevented a stalemate which destroyed Lenaria who was a powerhouse in CBT1.
Resonance leader Mina was very angry because of this. She caused much drama with XIII she said we would ally, but then went into Siege alone leaving us. She hates HotGlue and
Vanguard. She made too many enemies for her own good. In the end that is how Resonance fell.
Our Nation’s Lord Marshal was Namae (the leader of HotGlue). Our nation’s tacticians were XIII lead by PatricioXIII. The Judge and Treasurer positions were given to Vanguard and
Aura.

iii. Valuing our Allies

Vanov since CBT1 were our valuable allies. Although their numbers are about half as ours they are loyal to us as we are loyal to them. When Alethius, Lenaria, and Ostyrion
attacked us simultaneously it was Vanov at our side defending us.
Vanov played in our nation using our nation buffs and defending our temples as if it was their own. Whoever the next Lord Marshal is they will make a big mistake by not keeping
that alliance.

iv. Alliance?

XIII and HotGlue have talked. We decided that we are both talented PvP guilds with large numbers and we would do great things working together.
There was some talks with Namae as well, of Vanguard and Aura merging. This way their small numbers would merge into one large guild and we could add another populated guild to
the alliance.
Nothing is for certain yet, but we will be allied with HotGlue.

iv. Alethius
--------------------------
Alethius had a rep set up for themselves from CBT1. Their rep from defending just one temple with a horde of people that just camped it all day. Although they are not all bad
they are lead by one of the biggest assholes. Kira of the Empire guild, his forum name is _Kira. They took everything from Lenaria when they were leaderless in CBT, they don’t
care about anything other than being the best. That is what will cause their downfall.
They started major drama in the forums yesterday by forging polls to make it seem like Lenaria has more people than it does.
Now Empire joined forces with RageQuit who are moving to Alethius from Vanov. RageQuit are the biggest troll force in all of Aika. Since all the douche bags have accumulated
under one alliance we all know where to focus our efforts. ;)
There is a slight possibility that Ostyrion and Alethius will ally, but it won’t help Alethius. Ostyrion has very few players and the few that did play there are moving to
Feonir.
Lenaria doesn’t like Alethius either.
The population numbers are something like this. Alethius and Feonir have somewhat similar numbers, then comes Lenaria, followed by Vanov, and Ostyrion.

v. XIII plans

Patz ultimate goal is to be Lord Marshal. Big step in getting there is allying with HotGlue. We will try to form the most powerful alliance in Feonir to keep that leadership
position under our belt. HotGlue say they are from 4chan, but they are smart. Namae knows how to play the political game. He ensured people liked him, which they do. People say
he is fair and just. We will have people rooting for us.
I ALSO REQUEST EVERY XIII MEMBER TO PLAY IN THE PVP CHANNEL. PvP channel mobs have less HP so you will level faster.
As far as anymore planning it will come to the forums or in the guild message.
